The new “artur – Atelier” has emerged from the former studio “Kenkmannshof” after 20 years of cultural work.
In May 2007 , the artists Ulla Höpken and Ralph Herrmann gave up their old domicile and bought and established their new studio at the edge of the old village of Hochlar, Recklinghausen (“artur” being a combination of the term “art” and the first letters “u” and “r” of the artists’ Christian names).
The tradition of varying arts exhibitions, concerts, readings and get-togethers by the fire will be continued, supplemented by a wide variety of additional events. Our painting academy and summer workshops offer talented amateur painters the opportunity to develop their gifts under expert tuition.
Studio rooms flooded with light and a much admired garden are expecting the visitor.
